When you mention hypnosis, it is pretty common that it is applied for smoking cessation, reducing stress and reducing weight. One of the downfalls experienced when it comes to hypnosis for weight loss is in grasping just how it works. What just about every person imagines is that they get hypnotized and like something mystical, they transform to be fit. Or they are hypnotized, slumber away until sunrise and greet the new day and all their flab disappeared. Oh, if it were only how it goes but that is just not how it will ever be. Let me take this opportunity to be clear.

How would you now feel if six months, twelve months or whatever time has gone by since the first weight loss plan was initiated, you were true with it? Hypnosis motivates a unconscious way of thinking and feeling, acting and behaving which not only allows you to complete the results, but better yet, to continue it. What advantage is losing all that extra excess weight only to put it all back on, and even more?
The foremost error people make when they seek any personal change is they apply will power, otherwise known as force, and though this is not the winning way most people keep doing it because they don't know the effective way. That superior way is by using hypnosis. All habits, beneficial or unhealthy, are stored in the subconscious mind and the subconscious does not respond to force. understandable life examples are when we consciously attempt (use of will power) to either get to sleep or remember information we memorized, we become disturbedand stressed because it doesn't work.
Whenever we take this approach, the more we try, the more difficult it is. We must know it is truly more efficient, comfortable and natural when you move aside, remove the conscious in this process. But why then most people continue doing it? Ego. The conscious mind is our ego and most people almost needs to think "we" are in control and "we" make things happen. Let me just say incorrect! Think of the many astonishing things that happen below the level of consciousness like cell regeneration, procreation, healing, creativity, the ability to sleep and wake without any conscious thought and even a deeper awareness that we call a gut feeling or our first thought. How frequently do we say, "I knew I should have gone with my first thought?" And we always regret not doing so. But why didn't we?
I'll repeat, it's ego. Our ego, conscious mind, becomes involved in that subtle sensation we get referred to as a gut feeling, analyzes it and thinks, no, that's not what I need to do. Again let me just say, not so! Our first thought is our intuition. It's the way all living things survives and functions without any of the pitfalls we thinking beings endure. Whenever longing for a change in your actions, thoughts and feelings that are non productive and prevent you from being your best, think about the approach that is safe, natural and effective, hypnosis. If will power worked we would all be what we want to be... but we're not.
